Learn sea turtle conservation at Palmarito Beach, meet hatchlings, and release them at sunset from Puerto Escondido with English and Spanish guides.

“Basically a scam. These people collect turtle eggs at night, put them in a closed space and then when they hatch they put the baby turtles in a crate for tourist to “release” them. While in principle is good (maybe), when you get your one turtle to release seagulls are just waiting there. So be aware that you are paying 40€ to take a cute picture with a baby turtle and then feed it to seagulls. There is absolute no conservation activity done, and the whole thing lasted 30’ from the time I was picked up to when I was left at the hotel.”
