A half day Monte Albán tour from Oaxaca with hotel pickup, an expert guide, and time to explore UNESCO ruins plus standout Zapotec carvings.

“Monte Alban itself is a great place to visit and very interesting. However, there are many companies that offer tours and I cannot recommend this one. The guide who escorted us to the site in the mini bus was rude and aggressive when dealing with me, as a single female traveller this made me very uncomfortable. Select another tour company.”

Half-day Monte Albán tour from Oaxaca with hotel pickup, bilingual guiding, Zapotec ruins, tombs, ball court, and Oaxaca Valley views.

“Our guide Fernando was so well educated in the history and culture of Monte Alban it added tremendously to the absolutely stunning site. The highway construction forced a different approach to the site and a walk that not everyone would be able to do. This should probably be offered in the information before booking, which it wasn't. Overall the tour was well worth it and I would recommend it highly.”

Oaxaca day trip: Monte Albán ruins, copal wood alebrijes, and black pottery. Hotel pickup, expert guide, optional Cuilapam.

“Guide was great and Monte Alban was an exceptional sight to see. It would have been nice to be taken through Monte Alban main area in more detail as the guided tour effectively stopped when we arrived there. The ‘art’ part of the tour (with the exception of donna rosa’s pottery which was fantastic) wasn’t really artistic, more a spending spree.. we went to see the wood cutters which was cool but it’s just a very big shop. We also went to see the chocolate factory, which was a small store and the chocolate wasn’t that great.. we didn’t learn anything about the art or hirstory of chocolate making but…”

( I had chille rellenos and my husband had a tlayuda) After that we went to the rug maker and had a great time tasting mezcal. At the end of the day we visited Monte Alban. Our guide was great! We recommend this tour to anyone who comes to Oaxaca. Also if you come during the rainy season be sure to bring an umbrella.”
