We made up and brought from home, pencil cases with pencils, pens, erasers and Sharpeners and handed out to the children. There were many children and I wished we had pencil cases for everyone. The Guides stopped at a little shop where everyone participated in buying groceries, $5 US per bag for the families. We did extra, we bought snacks for the children that were in the line with their mothers.…”

Actual order-1) Selva Maya cenote, 2)Mayan cultural village (tourist trap) with lunch, 3) Chichen itza, 4) Brief stop (1/2 hour) in Valladolid. Box lunch promised was a 6 inch Subway sandwich that was mostly just bread. Every stop included incessant hawking of trinkets, souvenirs and elixirs.
