“Our walking food tour was a visit to the busy local market. It provided an authentic experience where locals buy their fresh foods and have their breakfast. Our guide was familiar with the local vendors. We had delicious popular foods (quick service in spite of long queues) and she provided explanations for each dish. We also sampled fresh local fruits, herbs and spices used in Mexican cooking. Lunch was a prawn ceviche and we finished in an ice cream shop with interesting and unusual selection of flavours.”
